I keep wondering what happens when a rock hops up from the rear tire and impacts the turbo mid-run. ![]() ![]() As engine rpm increases, the flyweights push against the outer drum and force the movable sheave (pulley face) toward the engine causing the belt to travel at a greater circumference around the driver clutch. So those two problems aside, the way that air intake is positioned, someone can correct me if i'm wrong here, but given the airflow at the under-back side of a car, won't that intake have damn near a vacuum pulling air out of it, rather than any intake at all? I know people worry about pressure drop over a large intercooler.but this would be insane. I dunno! Those crazy long pipes make it seem like it would be horribly inefficient. The guy making 'em is extremely confident and even made definitive performance gain numbers. They are all pretty confident (for the most part) that it will work well.which is interesting.
